Meeting with Rehs’ Gallery Owners at Baltimore Fine Art & Antiques Show

September 1, 2010

Laurel and I were invited to meet Howard and his wife Amy Rehs at their booth at the Fine Art and Antique Show at the Baltimore Convention center recently. The booth looked very nice and was lit very well. Often at shows the lighting just isn’t there and of course when displaying art it really is important. Howard and Amy did an amazing job setting the booth up and we were so proud to have a few of my paintings on display. It is such an honor to have my art hanging on the same walls with the other amazing artists that were represented as well.

On the far left I see “Spring In Fall” and below it is “Golden Field”. I think I got the names right. My wife will correct me for sure if I don’t. Just above the table in the front is an incredible painting by Munier for only $250,000! I’ll take two dozen please  :)

We dropped off two more small paintings, which are leaning up against the table on the floor, of the little girl in the pink outfit and hat.

It was so nice meeting Amy for the first time. Howard and Amy graciously invited us to a fantastic steak dinner  at a nearby Baltimore Harbor restaurant and we had the opportunity to talk for quite a while. Laurel and I really appreciated  getting to know them and we found that we had alot in common with our children. They were so hospitatble, warm and friendly. We like these guys very much and trust them implicitly. It’s such a pleasure to do business with people you can call friends too!

Our Daughter Braeden Graduates High School and Moves To College

August 9, 2010

So much was going through my mind on this special occasion. I was so proud and happy for her as she received her high school diploma. The school was tough, she worked hard and did very well. It’s time for my precious little girl, who’s not so little anymore, to move into the next phase of her life. It’s such an exciting, happy time and the love I feel for Braeden is so strong. The memories of her as an adorable small child continue to flood my mind.

Laurel and I helped Braeden  get situated in her college dorm room, and she plays with her new roommate in the window light.

It has only been two weeks since our precious girl left and I think it’s going to take me about one more week or two to get over the transition. This is the last shot that I took of her as we left her at the school. It was from a long distance away. Every time I zoom in close on her face I cry. Although I felt really good about leaving her in a very warm and friendly environment, and I know this is the right thing for her, our home is quiet without her. Today was the first day that we had the family together for dinner and she wasn’t with us. It’s very tough right now for Laurel & I as our only two children both prepare to leave the nest.
